Founded in 1967 by the late Mrs Margaret Nunoo-Mensah, Premier Florist has a distinguished heritage as Ghana’s first florist and horticulture shop. Over the decades, we have built a reputation for quality, creativity and attentive personal service — values that remain at the heart of everything we do today.

Our Heritage
In 1967, the late Mrs Margaret Nunoo-Mensah, affectionately known as Auntie Maggie, founded Premier Florist, widely recognised as Ghana’s first florist and horticulture shop.
From its earliest days, Premier Florist established a reputation for exceptional floristry, horticultural expertise and personal service. Over the decades, it became one of Ghana’s best-known names in flowers, supplying a wide variety of flowers and plants for homes, weddings, celebrations, corporate occasions and funeral tributes.
Based at Danquah Circle in Accra, Premier Florist was shaped by Auntie Maggie’s passion, training and remarkable eye for floral design.
Mrs Margaret Nunoo-Mensah trained in floristry and horticulture in London and also studied Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement. She further developed her horticultural expertise at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, studying areas including horticulture, surveying, landscape design and rock gardening.
Her talent and dedication received international recognition when she represented Ghana at the prestigious HEIFA International Flower Shows in Israel, winning gold medals in three consecutive years, from 1971 to 1973.
Her achievements, creativity and commitment to excellence laid the foundations for the Premier Florist of today.
More than half a century later, Premier Florist continues to carry forward her legacy, combining experience, craftsmanship and personal service to create beautiful flowers for every occasion.

If a design includes a vase, basket or other decorative item, the exact item pictured may not always be available. In such cases, we will select a suitable alternative of comparable style and quality.
We will always make every effort to ensure that your finished arrangement remains beautiful, balanced and as close as possible to the design shown.
